I just watched the most incredible video about a game that I have never heard of before today. I was just came across it and when I was actually looking at something about the new iPhone software.
The game is Just Dance for the Nintendo Wii. My first reaction was that I want to go out and buy a Wii!
I had never really given the Wii a whole lot of thought, other than it looks like a really cool game system. It’s a system that promotes being active. Very cool. It’s a very interactive game that you play with other people.
I did play one recently at a friend’s house and that was the first time I played. Actually, it was quite a lot of fun.
I’ve never really enjoyed video games that much. Because the controllers are so hard to use. You’ve got to have all this coordination. And even though I have a fair amount of coordination most game system controllers are just not intuitive to me.
I have regained the motivation to exercise! This last weekend I read a book called ‘Top Secret Fat Loss Secret’. It was a good overall book that gave some good general information about health, nutrition and exercise.
Then I was talking with a friend at lunch yesterday and he asked me if I am still running. I told him ‘No’ mixed with a few valid reasons (excuses).
“I haven’t been running because I’ve been too busy with ….”
True I have been awfully busy.
I start out my days in a flurry to get ready. I get up between 7 and 7:30. I listen to some teaching as I’m showering. If I have a few minutes after I’m ready, I’ll usually start preparing for the days work.
I’ve done it. I’ve joined the Navy Reserve. It wasn’t exactly the choice I wanted to make but this time in my life it’s the best choice.

Today I took the Strengths Finder Test from Gallup. It’s a book and a website that go together.
You take the test online and then use the included report and book to assess the results from the test.
Of course I bought the book after the last Triangle Business Leaders meeting on February 4th and am just now getting around to completing the test.
I wonder if this can be considered a strength? At least one of the questions on the test seems to indicate that there is a certain strength in waiting until the last minute to complete something as this pressure helps some peoples thinking to be the clearest.
I tend to believe that there is some truth to this idea as I see this in myself. I work best under this pressure for some reason. The unfortunate reality that I haven’t quite figured out yet is how to create this pressure in a realistic manner that truly motivates me to work hard. Continue reading
Today I got a huge shot of motivation to continue to build my businesses. Today was the monthly Triangle Business Leaders meeting for the Raleigh/Durham Chapter of the Glazer-Kennedy Insider’s Circle.
I’ve been going to these meetings for about a year now. And every month I am amazed at the value that I walk away with. Even though I get something from every meeting, today I felt like I needed to express what I experienced.
Today’s topic was the start of a three part series that Ben Thole is presenting called The Achievement Formula in which he started to uncover the essential elements for business success.
The things that really hit home with me deal with finding/leveraging my strengths, finding ways to surround myself with the right people, and developing/acting out the disciplines in which I am lacking. Continue reading
Why Did Google Build a Phone and a Browser?
http://designbygravity.wordpress.com/2010/01/12/why-did-google-build-a-phone-and-a-browser/
This was one of the most insightful tech articles I’ve read in a long while.
I love the way he really gets Google’s purpose in life. They have all the money they could ever need. And now they have “real” power that can keep others in check, create healthy competition, and force people to stop blaming walmart for putting them out of business.
Stagnation is the downfall of most businesses and careers. Keep ahead of the curve and prosper. Keep holding to “the way we’ve always done it” and you will die. If you don’t keep your skills current and marketable, then don’t expect to keep an income either.

Latin American Mission Trips has established a new web site that will eventually provide information and registration for taking mission trips to assist Latin American missionaries.
More updates to come.
Today when I woke up, for the first time in a VERY long time, I felt a sense of purpose. I still didn’t feel completely rested and I didn’t want to get up, but I felt that I had a reason for getting out of bed.
I can’t tell you the relief I felt. A sense of purpose has escaped me now for such a long time.
I know what this comes from. I have decided to give my Herbalife business another swing. I had decided over the summer that I would forever resign from working Herbalife as a business and just use the products as a discount customer. I would work my other online businesses and just leave Herbalife alone.
However, as I look at my options to earn a living, I have come back to Herbalife as such an incredible option that I am unable to leave it alone.
I haven’t had full-time work since I worked at the City of Raleigh back in September. I’ve been earnestly seeking work. I have been diligently been trying to figure out what work I should be going after.
